2025 Global Markets Division - Summer Intern Program (Junior Year)

About Us: 

Crédit Agricole CIB is the Corporate & Investment Banking arm of the Crédit Agricole Group. Crédit Agricole CIB offers its clients a large range of products and services in capital markets, investment banking, structured finance and corporate banking. The Bank provides support to clients in large international markets through its network, with a presence in major countries such as Europe, America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. 

 

About the Program: 

Our 10-week summer intern program is designed to immerse participants in the day-to-day activities of the Global Markets Division which is comprised of Sales, Trading Debt Capital Markets, Securitization, and Structuring. Participants are assigned to specific teams and are also afforded job shadowing opportunities across the division. In an effort to provide the participants with a well-rounded experience, the curriculum will include, but is not limited to, the following: 

  • Collaborate with senior and junior mentors 
  • Complete assigned projects 
  • Participate in formal training 
  • Attend speaker series, networking and social events 

 

About the Role: 

The intern will be assigned to support a team within Sales, Trading, DCM, Securitization, and Structuring. A brief description of the teams and responsibilities are outlined below: 

 

Global Markets Sales (GMS): covers Financial Institutions (FI), corporate clients and group entities. The FI sector focuses on Banks, Insurance, SSA, Asset Managers and Hedge Funds. The Corporate Sales team covers a defined set of Multi National Corporates (MNC) in various geographies with an emphasis on flow and high-value products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Provide pre and post trade support to sales staff including client interaction 
  • Assist in data analysis, including but not limited to desk business strategy and historical figures 
  • Develop client and/or executive facing presentations for sales staff 
  • Maintain, update and send daily, weekly and monthly reports, including but not limited to pricing data, market color and financial data 
  • Utilizing proprietary sales/trading platforms and understanding the components of Credit Risk and FX products 
  • Analyze daily flows to gain insight into market trends 

 

Global Markets Trading (GMT) is divided into five groups: Repo and Secured Funding, Rates (Swaps, US Treasuries, Options, Inflations), FX (G10 FX and Emerging Markets FX), Credit and Structuring. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Assist trading desk with support and trade entries 
  • PnL reporting and reconciliation of positions 
  • Collaborate directly with traders to ensure accurate pricing of products 
  • Gradually get involved in the execution of transactions and risk management of the book 

 

Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Debt Capital Markets (DCM) advise bond issuers (Corporates, Financial Institutions, or SSAs) in the Americas on the structure, size and timing of their USD and EUR bond offerings. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Assist senior originators in creating presentations and market updates 
  • Coordinate with product partners in coverage/syndicate/legal/sales to obtain approvals and execute new bond transactions 
  • Assist with internal and external due diligence processes 
  • Maintain internal databases and create ad-hoc credit and comparable analysis for management and issuers 
  • Develop a strong understanding of market trends 

 

The Securitization product line of the Global Markets Division offers origination and structuring of secured financing solutions for Credit Agricole CIB and Credit Agricole Group clients, via asset or cash flow based structures refinanced by financial products.

The Bank offers structured financing and risk management solutions tailored to the needs of our clients, based on a variety of assets or cash-flows:

  • Trade receivables
  • Financial assets (e.g. car loans and leases, consumer loans, credit card loans, home loans, solar loans)
  • Operating Assets, including rental vehicle fleets, air or rail transport assets, solar and other energy transition assets
  • Infrastructure assets (for project bonds and private placements)

 

Structuring: Credit Agricole CIB offers structured products through a wide range of derivative products designed to meet the specific needs of a diverse range of clients:

Hedging Solutions:

  • Swaps
  • Options
  • Swaptions

Customized Investment Solutions: 

In line with the client’s objectives and risk tolerance:

  • Fixed income products
  • Equity products
  • Credit-linked notes
  • Cross-assets

In line with new regulatory and accounting constraints:

  • Improved asset/liability management
  • Diversification of courses of liquidity
  • Dedicated market intelligence

Areas of Focus:

Our team is focused on two segments, Corporates and Financial Institutions, with specialists from a variety of backgrounds (packaging solutions specialists, financial engineers, regulatory and accounting experts) who are familiar with the issues facing our clients.

In addition to our structured product management specialists, we have a dedicated wrapping solutions team and a quantitative research team, enabling the Bank to offer its clients a cutting-edge proposition.

 

 

Eligibility: 

  • College juniors with an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026
  • Candidate will not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be eligible to work in the US 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 
  • Available to work for a 10-week period in June-August 2025

 

Desired Profile: 

  • Strong academic background – candidates with diverse majors are encouraged to apply 
  • Enthusiasm for financial markets and investment banking 
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
