Information Technology (IT) Intern
Job Description
Assists in performing helpdesk support (e.g., troubleshoots software, hardware & communication problems involving district equipment; performs simple programming tasks; enters items into information technology problem management software as needed; performs helpdesk duties). Assists in troubleshooting, unpacks, sets up & configures servers, computers & mobile devices. Provides support in performing routine maintenance of systems (e.g., assists in installing cables & network interface controllers (NICs), performs minor printer & system repairs & monitors performance). Responds to user inquiries & assists users in resolving software & hardware problems (e.g., resolves hardware malfunctions, restores files, etc.).
Assists in development & maintenance of district website (e.g., interfaces with various departments to create outlines of information to be used internally & externally, scans & formats documents for web inclusion, designs web pages). Performs miscellaneous information technology-related duties as assigned.

This is a temporary position involving various duties that will either supplement the student's major field of study and/or provide experience that is a useful addition to the student's education and meaningful preparation for future professional employment.

Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a college/university and in good academic standing prior to and during their entire appointment as a college intern. All College Interns are required to provide proof of enrollment, class status, and good academic standing with their college/university prior to beginning employment & throughout their time with ODOT in order to remain employed as a College Intern.
Acceptable forms of documentation include an official or unofficial transcript with current class schedule. If a transcript cannot be obtained the student’s advisor shall complete & sign the College Intern Verification Form indicating enrollment, class rank & GPA.
