The Spacecraft Development Department is a group of innovative engineers, program managers, and technicians developing unique spacecraft solutions for challenging space missions. We design and fabricate custom solutions to explore the boundaries of science or solve complex problems not yet delivered by industry using a variety of payloads.

Objectives of this Role:
- Summer 2025 intern position.
- Work in multidisciplinary project teams to support the design, analysis, and build of cutting edge spacecraft.
- Support professional planners with the development and maintenance of detailed, intermediate, and top-level integrated schedules in accordance with current best practice industry standards (e.g., GAO; DoD; NASA).
- Maintain needed schedules, logs, and data sets that encompass the life-cycle developmental processes of aerospace hardware and software elements.
- Support planner with developing independent assessments of performance trends and forecasting of remaining scope of work.
- Provide input to scheduling and cost management products for spacecraft system development across the full program life cycle. Understand the nexus of time, parts, and finance.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Management or related field.
- 0 years: Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products to include Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling using industry wide schedule software tools (e.g., MS Project; Primavera; Open Plan), processes, and Industry/Gov't standards is desirable.
- Knowledgeable with Project Planning process pertaining to schedule construction; implementation; and application and use of a work breakdown structure is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of business management principles and applications; must have the ability to learn Institute internal software, procedures, and business rules.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
