Accounting Intern (4-month, year-round) ELO CPAs & Advisors
Job Title: Intern
Reports to: Team Leader and/or Practice Leader
Job Overview:
An internship at ELO CPAs & Advisors will give you hands-on experience in public accounting. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support client engagements, providing valuable insights into the accounting profession and an opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
· Supporting the assurance team by performing various audit tasks.
· Assist with the preparation of tax returns.
· Research accounting and tax issues.
· Assist with data entry and account reconciliations.
· Participate in client meetings and presentations.
· Participate in internal training within the firm.
Requirements:
· Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Has completed sophomore year classes or completed intermediate accounting.
· A strong academic performance
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
· Good Communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous internship or work experience in accounting.
· Familiarity with accounting software (EX, QuickBooks, UltraTax).
· Involvement in accounting or finance-related student organizations.
