REMOTE Sports & Event Media Planning and Buying
Job Description:
Sports Media Inc. is seeking a highly motivated intern to get hands-on experience in a dynamic and interactive marketing industry, you will work closely with managers to create and manage and but media plans in sports venues. This role also requires you to maintain and communicate up-to-date records of the implementation of the plan.
Learn to plan media campaigns in sports venues, television, radio, events, digital and print.
Responsibilities:
- Work remotely to assist upper-level management in all aspects of media planning.
- Support management staff with completion of projects.
- Research media options to promote the brand.
- Analyzing data, thinking creatively, and designing innovative strategies to make sure client marketing campaigns reach their target audience in the most effective way possible.
- Researching the current media landscape and keeping up to date with the latest media trends.
- Service and build excel sheet as necessary.
- Work with media outlets to ensure a smooth buying process.
- Learn to complete media performance reports.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be available to attend meetings on Mondays at 9:00 AM, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM, and Fridays at 8:00 AM Mountain Standard Time.
- If in the Skill Bridge program, must attend an additional meeting on Thursdays at 9:00 AM Mountain Standard Time
- Current undergraduate majoring in advertising, journalism, sports management, business, marketing, communications, or any related field.
- Proven record of school programs.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, with accurate input and proofing skills.
- Passion for the advertising services and hospitality industry.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Creative, self-motivated and disciplined.
- Proficiency in Google Docs (Word, Excel) and Slack (teachable).
