As our Publicist Intern, you'll be immersed in the fast-paced world of sports communications, gaining hands-on experience in developing and executing strategic public relations campaigns that resonate with fans and media alike. Get ready to work alongside seasoned PR pros and unlock the secrets to creating impactful narratives.

• Becoming a Media Maestro: You'll play a vital role in building and nurturing relationships with journalists, influencers, and key media representatives, becoming their go-to source for all things sports.
• Crafting the Headlines: Learn the art of writing compelling press releases, attention-grabbing media advisories, and other essential communication materials that cut through the noise.
• Orchestrating Event Excitement: Be at the heart of the action, supporting the planning and execution of publicity strategies for major sports events, thrilling product launches, and engaging media tours. You'll even help coordinate media attendance and coverage!
• Weaving Engaging Content: Contribute your creative flair to develop captivating and informative content for press kits, newsletters that keep fans in the loop, and dynamic social media posts that spark conversations.
• Navigating the Unexpected: Get a behind-the-scenes look at developing crisis communication plans and protocols, learning how to support the team in addressing communication challenges with poise and strategy.
• Becoming a PR Analyst: You'll monitor media coverage like a hawk, compile insightful reports, and analyze the effectiveness of our public relations efforts, turning data into strategic wins.

Do You Have the PR Power?

• You're available for our essential team meetings on Mondays at 9:00 AM, Wednesdays at 10:00 AM, and Fridays at 8:00 AM Mountain Standard Time. (Skill Bridge participants will also connect on Thursdays at 9:00 AM MST).
• You're currently pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Your written and verbal communication skills are top-notch and ready to shine.
• You have a solid understanding of media relations and the core principles of public relations.
• You're familiar with social media platforms and understand their crucial role in modern PR.
• You're a highly organized and multi-tasking pro, ready to juggle exciting projects.
• You bring an enthusiastic and proactive attitude and a genuine passion that fuels your love for sports.
