Governor’s Summer Intern – SPD Workforce Strategy & Performance
The Governor’s Summer Internship Program (GSI) is designed to give college students real-world, hands-on experience in their desired field of study to enhance marketability upon graduation. Participation in the program will offer students a multitude of experiences including networking with state employees, resume building and soft skills workshops, agency head panels, and much more.
The Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD) is seeking a Workforce Strategy & Performance Intern to join our agency in summer 2024. The intern will support a variety of projects including, but not limited to, refreshing competency expectations and assignments, creating a manager needs assessment, and developing skills-based talent management guidance for the human resources function of state government.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $16.24 per hour.
A Day in the Life:
As an INSPD intern, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience with:
- Clarifying competency expectations for leaders, high performers, and job functions
- Facilitating and analyzing competency assessments to refresh role-based assignments
- Creating a manager needs assessment to inform programming and target manager engagement
- Developing and piloting skills-based talent management guidance
