About Epapa

At Epapa, we are redefining education through intelligent humanoid robotics. But we’re not just building a robot. We’re on a mission to create the world’s first affordable humanoid educator that can bring high-quality, interactive STEM learning to every child, everywhere.

We’re starting from scratch—with a blank slate and big ambitions. To achieve our goal, we need to do what others haven’t dared:

Cut current humanoid robot costs by 90%

Reinvent key components across engineering, materials science, and manufacturing

Design for scalability without compromising quality or warmth of interaction

This is not for the faint of heart. It’s for those who dream unrealistically, who laugh in the face of convention, and who know deep down that what we build will shape generations of learning to come.

Your Role as Lead Robotics Engineer & Co-Founder

As a Robotics Specialist and Co-Founder, you will lead the design and development of an advanced humanoid robot capable of fine motor control, AI-driven learning, and human-like interaction, all while optimizing for radical affordability.

1. Humanoid Development Under Extreme Constraints

Design and build a full-stack humanoid robot from scratch—with ultra-low-cost goals front and center

Develop highly dexterous robotic hands that can write on paper and interact with everyday objects

Create robust vision and perception systems using low-cost components and smart algorithms

Leverage motion planning, imitation learning, and reinforcement learning for realistic, adaptive movement

Drive innovative material selection and structural designs that balance price and precision

2. Education Meets Robotics

Design the robot to teach STEM subjects with an intuitive and adaptive teaching style

Collaborate with AI engineers to develop educational logic and interaction flows

Enable emotionally warm, child-friendly interactions that foster learning and trust

3. Real-World Home Functionality

Optimize for home-based physical tasks like grasping, tidying, simple chores, etc.

Implement lightweight, energy-efficient systems for long-lasting use and low-cost production

Ensure seamless switching between educational and home-assistance roles

4. Bold Collaboration Across Disciplines

Work closely with AI researchers, hardware designers, and materials scientists

Challenge every assumption: from joint design to casing to the number of fingers

Be a partner in everything from product direction to fundraising pitches

Who You Are

You might be a physicist with a side obsession for hardware. Or an engineer who thinks in equations and dreams in blueprints. You have:

A strong background in robotics, physics, or mechanical engineering

Experience in motion control, manipulation, and fine motor systems

Familiarity with ROS, PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, Nvidia Isaac, or similar

An itch to build things that others call "unrealistic"

A tolerance for skepticism and a drive to prove people wrong

The grit to work through the impossible and the joy to laugh while doing it

Why Join Us?

Insanely Bold Vision – We’re building a robot that the world says is "too soon, too hard, too ambitious"—and doing it anyway.

Co-Founder Ownership – This is not a job, it’s a calling. Equity only to start, but full credit for building a world-changing product.

Impact on Generations – Your work will help make education more equitable, engaging, and human.

Creative Freedom – We expect you to challenge us, bring wild ideas, and question everything

Are You One of Us?

We’re not looking for typical. We’re looking for exceptional and a little bit crazy. If you think bold, thrive in chaos, and care deeply about creating tech that helps real people, we want to talk to you.

Apply now and help us build the most affordable humanoid educator the world has ever seen.
