HR/Talent Intern (Summer 2025)

SUMMARY:   

The HR/Talent Intern will assist the Human Resources and Talent team in a variety of administrative and support tasks related to early career development, onboarding, and general HR operations. This role offers hands-on experience in handling, organizing events, and supporting the HR team. Key responsibilities include assisting with recruitment efforts, maintaining employee records, supporting new hire onboarding, and helping with HR projects. This internship provides valuable experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources. 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The roles and responsibilities of an HR/Talen Intern may include, but are not limited to, the following items: 

HR Admin & Coordination: 

  • Assist with completion of E-Verify processes for new hires and manage I-9 record retention. 
  • Sort incoming mail and distribute it to the appropriate departments; maintain office supplies for the corporate office. 
  • Assist with new hire onboarding tasks, including conducting background checks and drug screenings. 
  • Support the planning and coordination of New Hire Orientations. 
  • Enter HR-related documentation into the HRIS system accurately and efficiently. 

 

Campus Recruitment: 

  • Support the planning and scheduling of on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities, such as career fairs, company information sessions, campus presentations, interviews, and networking events. 
  • Assist in finalizing the list of career fair participants and organizing the schedule for distributing career fair bags. 
  • Collaborate with the Career Development Manager to organize and coordinate intern orientations for the spring, summer, and fall internship sessions. 
  • Help plan and execute Intern Celebration Events at the conclusion of each internship cycle, in partnership with the Career Development Manager. 
  • Assist with the onboarding process for interns, including preparing and distributing internship guides to new participants. 
  • Support the intern offboarding process by handling separation paperwork, ensuring collection of company property, and notifying IT to revoke system access 
  • Develop skills to source candidates for both full time positions and internships 

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Ability to handle HR information & confidentiality 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  • Strong skills in planning, multitasking, organization, and time management. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record in relationship-building. 
  • Willingness to travel, including on-campus events and industry training. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Must have valid driver’s license
