Book Publishing Specialist Internship

Blue Byron Books, an imprint of Ridea LLC, is looking for an individual to help oversee the growth and development of their 2025 book releases. This is a remote internship opportunity.

The person in this role will be responsible for learning about the publishing industry through web research, then consulting, brainstorming, and working as a team on the publication of at least 10 books in 2025. Our focus together will be creating the best product we can, release it into appropriate markets, and develop strategies to sell as many as we can.

This will be perfect for any individual eager to jump into the publishing industry and directly apply knowledge and make an impact.

Time commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Learning and activities involved:

  • Creating and executing marketing strategies with each book
  • Forging relationships with book clubs
  • Exploring possibilities of bestselling lists
  • Discovering opportunities with trade shows and conventions
  • Understanding copyrights, library of congress, and established publishing institutions
  • Understanding dynamics of book manufacturing and sources for each entity
  • Knowing back end of Amazon book selling
  • Implementing files with Ingram Spark

Programs & Software:

  • Google Drive
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (but not necessary)
  • Zoom for weekly meetups
