Human Resources Intern, Recruiting

Participate in a paid internship program built around your career goals and hands-on projects that impact the organization. As part of the Lamb Weston University Recruiting Internship Program, Interns work towards completing a Capstone project and are assigned a mentor who will guide and evaluate performance. Whether you are interested in Agricultural Science, Data Science, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Manufacturing, Food Science, Marketing, or Engineering, our highly selective summer intern program has projects that will help you build the next stage in your career. 

  • Paid internship, May – August (actual dates may vary)

Intern Project 

As the Human Resources Intern in Talent Acquisition, you will assist the University Recruiting Team building pipelines of early career talent. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that are both technical and creative. This includes understanding the impact of early career hiring, Lamb Weston’s branding, coordinating events, creating and analyzing data, and recruiting and sourcing basics.  

Duties & Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Assist and complete recruiting activities that drive the needs of the business including: analyzing resumes, participating in hiring manager intake meetings, sourcing, and candidate pre-screens
  • Create and identify recruitment marketing content such as short-form videos, articles and social media posts
  • Assist with, develop, and lead various intern programing opportunities including: milestones, onsite events, social activities, virtual sessions, and more
  • Generate and deploy feedback surveys for program progress and post-events metrics
  • Analyze data from surveys and propose recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments including Communications, Marketing, and other teams within Human Resources

Basic and Preferred Qualifications 

  • Must be a current Junior or Senior student enrolled in a related program: Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, Labor & Employment Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field 
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet the Lamb Weston Authorized Driver standards
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) is required
  • Prior experience with scheduling or coordinating events is required
  • Basic understanding of a Candidate Relationship Management (CRM), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), or other database platform is preferred
  • Social media and content writing experience is preferred
  • Recruitment experience via work, classes, clubs, organizations, fraternities/sororities, etc. is a plus
  • Project management skills with abilities to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to ask questions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
