STATUS: 

Non-Exempt / Hourly

DEPARTMENT: 

Engineering

HOURS: 

Monday – Friday, average of 40 hours per week

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to:       Engineering Manager

Supervise:         N/A

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position allows an internship to provide an opportunity to gain additional knowledge and skills in this area of interest at RELCO, build professional relationships, and develop an understanding of the manufacturing process.

Engineering Projects

 

 

  • Assists in product or system design under the guidance of another engineer.
  • Assists in analyzing product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine possible design improvements.
  • Assists in preparing product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
  • Assists in performing engineering duties and subtasks in area of discipline of low complexity for a project or projects.
  • Assists in development of equipment/owner’s manuals and spare parts lists.
  • Quality of interacting with coworkers & customers during projects.
  • Accuracy of information contributed during projects.

Safety Standards

  • Follow all safety procedures when operating machinery.
  • Keep work area clean & organized so not to present a safety hazard.
  • Quality of safety procedures followed.

Other Duties

  • Assist with all special projects assigned by the manager/supervisor
  • All other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Education:                      Enrolled in college/university for engineering related degree program.
