Intern - Research & Development
Job Title: Intern - Research & Development ( Belmont, WI.)
Term: 1 calendar year (flexible start, ie. May 2025 – May 2026)
• Core Responsibilities:
➢
Work with a research scientist to plan and design trials.
➢
Responsible for organizing plant trials and conducting research with the support of the plant.
➢
Prepare ingredients and equipment for plant and benchtop trials.
➢
Communicate technical results to cross-functional teams.
➢
Organize and conduct tastings with the plant team.
➢
Examine the current manufacturing process for areas of development and improvement.
➢
The position is located at the feta and brie production facility in Belmont, WI.
2 – REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reporting to: Research Scientist
3 –REQUIRED PROFILE:
Background:
1. Pursuing or holding a degree (BS, MS) in Food or Dairy Science or other related education.
2. Creativity, attention to detail and accuracy in work required.
3. An interest in food processing and desire to work in a production plant setting.
4. Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
5. Knowledge of good practices in data collection and proficiency in data analysis, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
6. Experience in the food/dairy industry is preferred.
