Financial Analyst
Provide support to all Carilion Business Units and to Financial Advisory Services through the preparation of financial studies, evaluations and analyses. Interact effectively with administration and with all levels of Corporate and hospital management, as well as with departmental work team. Knowledge of financial systems is essential to analyze, prepare and distribute financial information. Effective time management skills are necessary.
Performs significant job responsibilities:
Communicates financial information and educates key stakeholders in an effective manner.
Assists in process improvement projects and modeling.
Assists in development of financial presentations.
Researches industry trends and uses data to identify financial themes.
Measures, analyzes, and reports on productivity.
Effectively manages working on multiple projects at management direction.
Compiles and reviews data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Serves as a liaison with core support departments and is a team player.
Assists in coordination of planning process and business forecasting.
Models, implements, and tracks change management initiatives.
Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field or equivalent 8 years of experience required.
Experience: 1-3 years healthcare finance to augment education if needed.
Other: Advanced knowledge of Excel, and other personal computer software.
