In the role of the Business Development and Partnership Management Intern, you will be tasked with seeking new leads and cultivating relationships on behalf of the agency through lead generation, marketing, and other corporate responsibilities. This individual will help lead weekly category research development, manage conversations with new brand and property partners, and project-manage logs and updates of all previous conversations with actionable timelines for the agency to react to. Athelo Group has worked with brands such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michelob Ultra, NOW Foods, Frito-Lay, VISA, Celsius, Polkadot, and Microsoft. Applicants should be detail-oriented, articulate communicators, adaptive to client needs, and exhibit a proactive mindset. Candidates will be receiving academic credit for this internship position.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily research development and trend analysis.
- Generate and lead conversations with prospective clients. Craft creative pitch decks and strategic proposals tailored to prospective clients.
- Liaise directly with existing clients on projects to generate sales and elevate brand awareness.
- Manage new business development trackers and deliver weekly prospecting reports to the CEO.
- Expand our startup agency’s service portfolio.
- Lead the development of campaigns and promotions to maximize sales for all clients and programs, existing or new.
- Generate innovative ideas that deliver returns to the current client portfolio and agency.

- Maintain standards and professionalism with colleagues, clients, and partners during fluctuating workloads.
- Contagious passion for sports, brand, and athlete marketing.
- Willingness to assume an advanced role and be a direct representative of a fast-growing agency at a client-facing level.

Education and Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university (all concentrations will be considered).
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role.; This position may require the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds, for in-person work opportunities.
Work Environment
This job operates fully remotely, offering the option to work from anywhere, with the opportunity to attend in person at our Norwalk, CT office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
