Cloud Operations Engineer

Oxford Solutions has an opening with our client for a Cloud Operations Engineer. As a key member of the cloud team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting software development processes, ensuring operational excellence, and guiding projects from concept to successful deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cloud team members to implement and develop a scalable cloud infrastructure framework.
  • Support continuous integration, deployment, and delivery pipelines on the Microsoft Azure public cloud.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on software architecture, development processes, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Design and maintain automated build and deployment systems for cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Ant, and Maven.
  • Interface with product development teams, including architects, software engineers, quality assurance staff, and people leaders.
  • Communicate effectively to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Develop solutions and code in technologies such as .NET, C#, Python, Bash, and Java.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of SQL, web technologies, scripting, and cloud-based architecture to support infrastructure goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience deploying software applications on cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of experience with automated build/deployment systems and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Bamboo) and frameworks (Ant, Maven).
  • Expert-level programming experience in .NET, C#, shell scripting, Bash, Python, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, development processes, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Preferred Certifications

  • Advanced-level certification in Microsoft Azure (Solutions Architect Expert/DevOps Engineer Expert) or similar.
