Job Summary
Are you passionate about Urban Planning and Aviation? Landrum and Brown is seeking a 2025 Summer Intern to join our Master Planning/Facility & Operations team in Cincinnati. As an Aviation Planning Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, including large-scale airport master planning, terminal concept design, airfield design, support facilities analysis, and more. This internship offers the chance to immerse yourself in a collaborative environment, where you can expand your knowledge and sharpen your skills through hands-on meaningful work.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You Will Do
- Conduct planning studies and analyze airport facilities and operations
- Assist in developing airport facility conceptual plans (AutoCAD)
- Develop GIS databases and mapping for airspace analyses
- Participate in data collection and surveys
- Coordinate and write task analysis results and reports
- Engage client staff, attend client meetings/presentations, and establish positive relationships
- Support peers in various task assignments
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Team
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment
- Strong commitment to integrity, consistently demonstrating ethical, fair, and responsible behavior
- Commitment to innovation and continuous learning, with a passion for acquiring new skills and driving improvements
Your Education and Experience
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Urban Planning, or related discipline
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite, GIS, SketchUp, a plus
