Data Quality Research Analyst Intern

Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. This is an 10-week program that begins June 9th and ends on August 15th. This opportunity is 100% remote and you must be located in the United States during the summer internship. The Data Quality Research Analyst Intern will work closely with the Product Management team.
As a Data Quality Research Intern, you will be responsible for curating data quality rule research and accelerating rule automation. In this role, you will leverage a blend of technical and business skills to contribute effectively to data quality initiatives, helping to enhance and streamline data governance processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in data integrity, automation, and analytical problem-solving to support the organization's data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Curate and Analyze Data Quality Rules – Identify, collect, and document existing data quality rules from core Data Quality products to build a comprehensive repository.
- Research and Optimize Rule Application – Investigate and propose methods to enhance the efficiency and automation of data quality rule application.
- Support Data Governance Initiatives – Assist in evaluating and refining data quality standards to improve data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams – Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure data quality solutions align with organizational goals.
- Generate Insights & Reports – Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings to support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Precisely's internship program is for rising junior and senior undergraduate students.
- We prefer candidates in the Eastern Time Zone; however, all time zones are welcome to apply
- Strong Critical Thinking Skills – Ability to analyze complex data challenges, identify patterns, and develop innovative solutions.
- Problem-Solving Abilities – Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues with a logical and structured approach.
- Software Development Experience – Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL for data processing and rule automation.
- Understanding of Data Science Concepts – Knowledge of data analysis, machine learning, or statistical methods to support data quality initiatives.
- Detail-Oriented & Analytical Mindset – Capacity to evaluate data integrity and recommend improvements to data quality processes.
