Human Resources Intern

We are seeking a motivated and passionate HR Intern to join our team and assist in streamlining and improving various HR processes for our growing case management agency. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience while making a real difference in a company that helps individuals with disabilities flourish in their communities.

As an HR intern, you will be working closely with the HR Manager and supporting various HR functions, including employee onboarding, training, and performance management. You will have the opportunity to assist in creating, streamlining, and automating processes to ensure that we deliver an excellent employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Onboarding & Documentation:
    • Review and streamline job postings, interview procedures, and new hire documentation to ensure efficiency.
    • Assist with onboarding tasks, including the creation of engaging and informative training materials (written or video formats).
  2. Training & Orientation:
    • Support the creation and implementation of orientation and ongoing training materials for new hires, promoting compliance and skill development.
    • Help create systems to track compliance and ensure that employees meet required training milestones.
  3. Performance Management:
    • Support performance reviews, weekly supervisions, and annual reviews by helping to standardize processes and track employee progress.
    • Develop and implement tools or templates that assist in performance evaluations and feedback.
  4. Process Streamlining:
    • Review current HR processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Assist with the automation of training tracking, performance reviews, and other HR workflows.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating materials and assisting with performance feedback.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage confidential information and accurately track employee data.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and Self-Starter: Able to take initiative and work independently.
  • HR Knowledge: Knowledge of HR best practices or experience in a related field is a plus but not required. Willing to learn and grow in HR.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfort using HR software or tools (Google Docs, spreadsheets, and other systems).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in human resources and organizational development.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
