Job Description:
The primary responsibility of DivInc’s Staff Accountant is to ensure the organization's strong financial health by working with the Finance Manager to ensure all daily transactions are coded accurately with their corresponding documentation and to help process receivables and payables. This is a great entry-level role!
The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
What you’ll be doing:
● Manage Ramp, an expense management system
○ Make sure all transactions are categorized and synced to Netsuite with their appropriate documentation
○ Help process reimbursements in Ramp
● Assist with the monthly close and make sure all transactions are reconciled
● Process receivables and payables
○ Enter invoices to be sent with their corresponding benefits/information
○ Enter bills to be paid with their corresponding documentation
● Make sure all vendors have a W9 form
● Gather all documentation required for the transactions on a monthly basis in a digital filing system ● Assist with the audit, annual 990 tax filing, and 1099 filings
● Make sure the CPA has all the documentation they need for the audit and annual 990 tax filing ● Assist the Finance Department with quarterly internal audits and due diligence checks ● Help with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports
● Needs to understand what’s going on with DivInc on a daily basis
Qualifications:
● Recent undergraduate with a BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or business ● Can work independently but can still work as part of a team
● Really loves the details
● Willing to learn and use new technologies
● Bonus Points: Have used Netsuite, QuickBooks Online, or any other accounting software ● Bonus Points: Have used Bill.com, Ramp, or any other expense management software ● Bonus Points: Familiar with nonprofit accounting
