Stormwater Plan Review Intern
In this role, you’ll be working directly with the Raleigh Stormwater plan review group. As the only intern in this group, you will focus on stormwater regulatory documentation, which will include some work with GIS (Geographic Information System). Additionally, you will provide technical support to staff members and complete tasks that support the entire stormwater program.

About Us:
This Intern position is in Raleigh’s Stormwater Management Division, part of the City’s Engineering Services Department. The Stormwater Management Division includes over 80 full-time employees working in an equitable and inclusive, team-first environment that takes pride in their work by being “Stormwater Smart.” The intern will apply their general knowledge to protecting citizens and the environment by assisting reviewers.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify engineering plans and reports to ensure compliance documentation is saved
- Update documentation for stormwater regulatory compliance
- Enter stormwater information into GIS database
- Receive training to understand site plans and associated stormwater reports
- Participate in site visits
Typical Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Must be in the process of completing a degree in civil, environmental, or biological and agricultural engineering or related field.
