Job purpose 

The Marketing Intern will be part of the Corporate Marketing group and report to the Director of Marketing and PR and the Marketing and PR Supervisor. The position will aid in the day-to day activities of the marketing team to support tasks including but not limited to assisting in the planning and support of special events and shows, promotional store, social media planning and press releases, advertisements and product displays.  

 

Key responsibilities 

Support the planning and execution of special events and shows  

Support the PR and social media team on calendar planning and community management 

Support branding team on media plans and marketing materials 

Build a strong rapport and collaboration with other team members within the department, as well as key internal stakeholders and external vendors  

Handle administrative items as needed  

 

What we’re looking for 

Student working toward a degree with a minimum one – two years college experience in Business, Marketing or Communications  

Excellent writing, proof-reading and communication skills  

Attention to detail and organizational skills   

Event planning skills  

Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment   

Positive, go-getter with a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills
