Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate AP Physics Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping students succeed. This is a part-time, flexible position suitable for educators, graduate students, or experienced tutors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and/or AP Physics C (Mechanics & Electricity and Magnetism).
  • Develop customized lesson plans, practice problems, and study strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Explain complex physics concepts in a clear and engaging manner to enhance student understanding.
  • Assist students with homework, test preparation, and AP exam strategies.
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment that fosters student confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
  • Previous experience tutoring or teaching AP Physics or equivalent coursework.
  • Strong understanding of the AP Physics curriculum and exam format.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Reliable internet connection and the ability to conduct remote tutoring sessions effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with digital whiteboard tools, online learning platforms, or educational software.
  • Familiarity with effective test-taking strategies for AP Physics exams.
