Delegate Sales Manager - Healthcare Events

Location: East Windsor, NJ (hybrid) or Remote (based on your proximity to our location)

Salary: Commensurate with experience

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Delegate Sales to lead and grow our delegate sales function. This is a player/manager role where you will be responsible for selling delegate passes while also managing a team of two delegate sales executives. You will play a pivotal role in developing sales strategies, mentoring your team, and directly engaging with healthcare professionals to drive attendance and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Actively sell delegate passes to healthcare professionals and other industry stakeholders to ensure attendee targets are met.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with past attendees to maximize retention and upselling opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to optimize lead generation efforts and outreach campaigns.
  • Effectively manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and a high conversion rate.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of two delegate sales executives, providing hands-on training and performance management.
  • Develop KPIs and sales targets for the team, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a high-performance, consultative sales culture that aligns with the healthcare industry’s professional standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine sales messaging and positioning for healthcare professionals.

Strategy & Growth

  • Contribute to the overall delegate sales strategy, including pricing models, outreach tactics, and customer segmentation.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize performance and inform decision-making.
  • Work closely with leadership to scale the delegate sales function as the business grows.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in delegate sales, healthcare event sales, or B2B sales within the healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven track record of selling to physicians, researchers, hospital administrators, pharmaceutical professionals, or other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and managing a sales team, with a focus on coaching and development.
  • Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to engage busy healthcare professionals and articulate the value of attending industry events.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex event offerings into clear value propositions.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and sales automation tools.
