About the Opportunity
 

We are seeking Junior, Senior, and Graduate students for a hybrid internship at Ellucian in Reston, VA

The Ellucian People Team is seeking a Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) / Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Intern to join us for the summer of 2024. The intern will be working under the supervision of the I&D/ESG program manager and will make immediate impact supporting our internal strategic initiatives that include I&D and ESG. The intern will be passionate about building an inclusive culture that values talented individuals from all backgrounds and driving programs with positive impact on our internal and external communities. The ideal candidate will be proficient with analyzing data, research, project management and storytelling. Where you will make an impact

  • Partner with the People Team, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Business Units and our cross-functional ESG team to drive initiatives
  • Support with project management
  • Develop I&D and ESG materials, including components of an annual Impact Report
  • Prepare analyses and reports
  • Research and share best practices
  • Acquire, assess and analyze data
  • Prepare data insights for executive leaders
  • Complete surveys and other data requests

 

What you will bring

  • Demonstrated knowledge of I&D and/or ESG practices with an ability to provide guidance to leaders and employees through a consultative approach
  • A self-starter and able to work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Experience navigating a matrixed global organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft product suite (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint), and virtual meeting systems such as Zoom
  • Ability to provide timely turnaround on request
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Data driven mentality with a bias towards thoughtful action
  • Highly effective project management skills with an ability to work on and lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, possessing the ability to interface with audiences of all levels throughout the organization
