Are you a gritty self-driven entrepreneur with success in hitting sales goals?
Are you excited by the prospect of playing a major role on a small yet energetic and competitive sales team?
Are you detail oriented and accustomed to working with university educators and administrators?

The Program Consultant for the EF Study Abroad team plays a pivotal role in guiding prospective Faculty Leaders through the program development process, starting from their initial introduction to EF. This includes designing customized itineraries, securing stakeholder approval, and successfully launching their programs on campus to drive student participation. The position focuses on cultivating strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service while collaborating with Directors to achieve territory-specific objectives. Key responsibilities include managing the complexities of institutional environments, ensuring the successful development and execution of programs, and meticulously documenting and sharing program details. Success is measured by progress toward critical metrics such as signed proposals and enrolled travelers. This role demands a customer-first mindset, identifying opportunities to make clients feel supported, engaged, and valued. It also requires adaptability, determination, and sound decision-making skills, making it an integral part of the EF Study Abroad team.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Bring the EF brand to life in a polished, engaging, and sophisticated manner, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and collaborating proactively with Marketing and Creative teams as needed.
  • Produce high-quality, concise, and informative documents, including pitch presentations, proposals, recruitment plans, materials, and detailed itineraries.
  • Forge rapid connections and establish trust with customers, building loyalty even before they experience the program or product.
  • Develop robust working partnerships with the entire Study Abroad Team as well as the Operations team abroad, ensuring alignment between customer needs and final program delivery.
  • Demonstrate the ability to take direction from the Director while prioritizing tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Exhibit strong upward management skills, ensuring the Director is consistently updated on key priorities, information, and critical details.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner, providing valuable support to the Director throughout the decision-making processes.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of all communications and relevant details pertaining to Accounts or Opportunities within applicable systems.
  • Display initiative in analyzing and understanding buying patterns, processes, policies, and stakeholder dynamics at target accounts.
  • Share actionable intelligence on schools with the Director to enhance territory strategies, sales, and customer experience.
  • Proactively drive conversations and the sales process toward achieving student enrollment milestones.
  • Translate customers’ program goals into comprehensive custom proposals for the Operations team, serving as a blueprint for production.
  • Skillfully manage customer expectations regarding program experiences and pricing.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience with a proven success record
  • A goal-oriented entrepreneur excited to play a critical role in building and growing a small team and product
  • Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills (must be able to connect with a diverse range of individuals via text, email and telephone)
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and prioritize work. You have no problem managing a large, diverse pipeline and staying on top of your tasks
  • Passionate, in a way that faculty will be able to hear your excitement over the phone
  • Innovation is the name of the game, you do things to find opportunities, not because its “how it’s always been done”
  • Adaptable and able to alter your strategy, routine, or tasks based on changing situations
  • Driven and competitive mindset that has you intrinsically motivated to hit and exceed goals
  • Willing/able to travel to campuses and conferences 10-15% of the time
