IT Data Intern
Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Intern to join our IT – Systems / Store and Digital Solutions team! The IT Data Intern will assist with the creation of a web application to assist with the identification and management of potential fraudulent transactions at stores. The role will support the automation and management of the Event Based Reporting (EBR) findings within each region via a central location to share and adjudicate suspicious transactions. The Intern will be involved in streamlining the EBR management and process.
*** This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule. ***
What You’ll Do
Essential Functions
- Create detailed technical documentation outlining project scope and system requirements
- Develop the front end of the web application with a user-friendly interface
- Conduct thorough testing of the front end to ensure functionality and security
- Collaborate with the team to deploy the front-end application for use by district managers
- Additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience with Python, Dash, React, JavaScript, and Web Development
- Ability to commit to a full-time work schedule (40 hours per week)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, and Databricks
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related fields at an accredited College or University
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior with a 3.0 or higher-grade point average
