Merchandising Development Program (June 2025 Start)

Program Overview 

 Are you a student or recent graduate eager to launch your career in the dynamic world of retail merchandising? Look no further than Tractor Supply Company's 6-month Merchandising Development Program. This exciting opportunity offers an accelerated, rotational training experience that will provide you with a solid foundation in the retail business.

Throughout the program, you can apply the knowledge you gain through a variety of learning activities, including classroom sessions, on-the-job training, and computer-based learning. With the guidance and support of a Rotation Manager, you will gain a deep understanding of Tractor Supply Company's mission, values, history, and culture.

In addition, you will learn the fundamentals of retail math and become familiar with our systems. Get ready to explore the responsibilities across our Merchandising and Merchandising support functions, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience in these critical areas.

What you can expect

Join our Merchandising Rotation Development Program and embark on an exciting professional growth and development journey. As a participant, you can expect the following:

1. Engage in Comprehensive Training: Participate in group and individual training sessions to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge. These sessions will be followed by program assessments to demonstrate your learning and progress.

2 . Experience Rotations: Gain first-hand experience by completing rotations through various Merchandising and Merchandising Support departments at our Store Support Center. This will give you a holistic understanding of the entire process flow and the bigger picture of our merchandising operations.

3. Shadow Team Members: Learn from experienced team members in the field and observe their day-to-day activities. This shadowing opportunity will give you valuable insights into our processes and help you connect the dots across different functions.

4. Apply Knowledge On the Job: Practice your newly acquired knowledge and skills through guided on-the-job activities.
