Junior Lab Engineer

Junior Lab Engineer    

Location: Englewood, CO (4 days in office and 1 day remote_

Contract Duration: 12-month contract with possibility for conversion or extension 

Pay Range: $30-35/hr 

 

Overview: The NTG team at our client is looking to bring on a Lab Engineer to support testing initiatives related to DOCSIS 3.1, 4.0 and 5.0 modems, contributing to cutting-edge innovation in the telecom industry. This individual will be responsible for executing test plans and conducting lab experiments that simulate real-world customer environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, the Lab Engineer will analyze test results, compile data-driven insights, and present findings to leadership within the Connectivity organization to influence key decisions.

 

Skill Set

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science 
  • Understanding of RF Engineering or Networking fundamentals 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation
  • Interest in testing new technologies and driving industry advancements
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented lab environment 
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and presenting test findings

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute test plans by conducting experiments in the lab to test next-gen cable modems and DOCSIS variations
  • Compile data and present on results from test execution 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support testing and innovation
  • Ability to perform duties in a very fast-paced environment and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

 

Team overview: The Lab Test team consists of five engineers: three focus on developing testing roadmaps, while two execute test cases. The team collaborates closely with other engineering groups within the Connectivity organization to drive innovation

 

Interview Process: One technical panel interview via Webex and one onsite interview.
