Job Description:
Jennifer C. Messina Music is seeking a talented and proactive Videography and Marketing Intern to join the team supporting pop star Jennifer C. Messina, an emerging artist with over 500K Spotify streams and a growing fanbase. This internship offers college credit as compensation and provides hands-on experience in videography, photography, and social media marketing. Based in Los Angeles, the role requires local hires only, blending remote work with in-person collaboration. Interns will capture high-quality video and photo content at events, edit materials, and manage posts for Jennifer’s brand, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and partnered campaigns, with potential access to exclusive red-carpet events for networking.

Specific Skills We’re Looking For:

• Strong videography skills, including proficiency with video recording equipment (e.g., DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or high-quality smartphones)
• Strong photography skills for capturing professional-grade stills at events and shoots
• Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut)
• Knowledge of social media formats (e.g., 9:16 for TikTok/Reels, 1:1 for Instagram) and posting best practices
• Creativity in producing visually compelling, brand-aligned content
• Optional but preferred: Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva)

Minimum Requirements:

• Current enrollment in a college or university program offering credit for internships
• Residence in the Los Angeles area with reliable transportation to attend in-person events (no travel expenses covered)
• Access to a personal computer, video editing software, and videography/photography equipment
• Availability to meet in-person 1-2 times per week at events in Los Angeles (may include evenings or weekends)
• Submission of a portfolio or samples showcasing videography and photography work
• Commitment to 10-12 weeks and 10-15 hours per week

Expected Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality video and photo content of Jennifer at performances, events, or brand-related activities in Los Angeles
• Edit and produce polished TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other short-form videos for Jennifer’s music and partnered brands
• Photograph and edit professional stills for social media posts, promotional materials, and fan engagement
• Post and schedule content across platforms, ensuring alignment with Jennifer’s pop star image and marketing goals
• Collaborate with Jennifer to brainstorm creative video and photo concepts for campaigns and fan interaction
• Attend 1-2 in-person events weekly, which may include exclusive red-carpet access for networking opportunities
