Account Management Intern - cause marketing
We are looking for an Account Management Intern to help us serve the needs of the nonprofits and companies that retain us. Since we are in the nonprofit consulting business, we are constantly looking for ways to secure our clients more corporate partners, whether they are sponsors, media partners, network partners, or more. You will work under the Vice President and Chief of Staff as you conduct research, manage communications with potential partners, develop pitch materials, and strategize.
This is a fully remote, unpaid position. Could lead to paid if circumstances allow. If your school permits, we will offer school credit. You will be expected to work 10-20 hours per week (or less depending on your schedule). We are very flexible about working with your schedule.
Responsibilities
- Attend weekly team meetings
- Conduct research reports on potential partners for our nonprofit clients
- Attend meetings with potential partners and take detailed notes
- Develop the copy (subject line and body text) for outreach emails and send them to potential partners
- Strategize how best to close a deal with a potential partner
- Develop pitch materials on Canva
- Depending on where you're located: meet with potential partners and attend cause-based conferences
Requirements
- Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Communications, or related field is a plus
- An expert Googler and proficient using AI- great data is out there and your job will be to understand what to look for and how to look for it.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Google Workspace is preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Ability to use Canva or any design software is a huge plus
