Venture Capital & Startup Strategy Intern (Intern to Trey Bowles)

Work directly with Trey Bowles—serial entrepreneur, investor, and ecosystem builder—on high-impact projects that span startups, investment strategy, community engagement, and innovation initiatives. This role is ideal for a driven, self-starting individual passionate about entrepreneurship, startups, and economic development.
Intern Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and due diligence on early-stage companies and emerging sectors (e.g., health tech, smart cities, etc).
- Support preparation for investor and ecosystem partner meetings, including pitch deck reviews, data synthesis, and strategic briefings.
- Assist in managing communications, outreach, and follow-ups with stakeholders in the Dallas startup ecosystem and beyond.
- Draft reports and strategic insights for ongoing and prospective projects.
- Monitor trends and policy updates related to innovation, smart cities, and entrepreneurial ecosystem development.
Must Have/Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Passion for startups, social impact, and community building.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work 20 hours per week
- Must be able to be in-person (hybrid role)
