Through this groundbreaking partnership, we are pioneering pathways to certification that were once considered out of reach for many. By removing financial barriers and providing comprehensive training resources, we empower individuals to realize their full potential in the dynamic field of computing.
Participants of the Microsoft-GenSpark Training Initiative will embark on a life changing learning journey, guided by GenSpark trainers, Microsoft’s learning platform, Microsoft web series and are equipped with cutting-edge tools and resources. From foundational concepts to advanced techniques, our training program is designed to nurture talent and cultivate expertise in Microsoft technologies.
How does this work:
This is a free 4-week virtual training a combination of instructor led 2 hour a day for 4 weeks, hands on exercises/labs and self-study from 1 of 3 learning tracks below, with complete process as follows: 1 week orientation, 4-week training, 1 week applied skills and hackathon prep, 2-week hackathon and 2-3 weeks to take certification.
- Classes will be held for 2 hours between 9am and 12pm (9am-10am, 10am-11am, 11am-12pm Est) ET depending on your training track Monday through Friday.
- Expected total study time per day will be about 4 hours between the session with the instructor and self-study.

- AZ 204 Developing Solutions
- AI 102 Designing and implementing AI solutions.
- DP 203 Data Engineering
Once the 4-week training is complete participants will have the opportunity to take the Microsoft certification test that aligns with their track for free, Yes you read that right FREE! (through the gracious sponsorship from Microsoft, cost savings of $2,000).
Those that past certifications will then be invited to participate in Microsoft hackathon to showcase the skills they have learned over the past 8-weeks and be able to compete for top prizes. All Participants in the Hackathon will receive a Credly Badge.
The hackathon is an invite only event that will be open to people who have achieved a qualifying credential as a result of their participation in a sponsored event series.
Individuals will register in teams of five. In addition, each team can have a coach provided by the organization they are representing. Teams will select a use case based on real world AI scenarios. They will have two weeks to build and solve for the use case they choose. Entries will be judged my Microsoft and 3rd party subject matter experts.
Microsoft will provide the platform and environment for the hackathon. It will be possible to participate virtually as well as in person.
Prizes will be awarded to the teams with the best entries.
• One $10,000 top prize
• Two $5,000 second place prizes
• Three $2,500 third place prizes
Prizes amounts are per team.
Microsoft will showcase the winning solutions and teams in a blog post and in video interviews.
