Level: Undergraduate Rising Senior

Compensation: $30/HR in Denver, CO, $35/HR in San Francisco, CA

Location (On-Site): Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA

Goal Start Date: June 1, 2025

Goal End Date: August 31, 2025

What We Are Looking For

This is a ~3 month paid opportunity for undergraduate rising seniors and recent graduates to support our trading operations.

By participating in this program with Cleat Street, individuals will gain knowledge of the business and industry, establish meaningful connections, and build proficiency of in-demand skills. The ideal candidate will appreciate providing excellent customer service, getting reps in both structured and unstructured environments, and developing a growth mindset.

 

Role and Responsibilities

This role will report to the Trading Manager to support our license holders in a specific region. This will include:

  • Analyzing and interpreting a wide range of customer sports betting datasets
  • Assisting in the reconciliation of customer balance reviews and transaction audits
  • Gathering necessary financial information and documentation
  • Executing basic accounting entries and data entry tasks to contribute to the accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Working collaboratively with the engineering and risk teams to ensure smooth operations and effective support during busy periods
  • Assisting in the research and preparation of monthly KPIs, financials for analysis

Requirements

  • Should love sports
  • Knowledge of basic accounting standards and principles
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A naturally inquisitive and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including ability to clearly communicate complex information
  • Comfort speaking to customers, employees over Zoom, Slack
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to work out of our Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA office M-F, from 9am-5pm

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar area of study
  • Experience with querying data from SQL databases
  • Previous service industry experience (retail, food, education, hospitality, etc.)
  • Previous internship experience
