We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team and contribute to high-impact productivity improvement projects. This is a unique opportunity to explore and build compelling business cases for innovative solutions that serve as alternatives to traditional capital investments.
The intern's projects will focus on exploring and building the business case for high-potential productivity improvements, serving as an alternative to capital solutions. The primary focus areas include robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and simulation/emulation. Specifically, the intern will work on identifying and justifying applications in robotics to improve productivity and reduce site costs. In the area of AI, the intern will identify and justify enhancements for daily workflows, with the potential to pilot these solutions for broader implementation. For simulation/emulation, the intern will help accelerate project lifecycles and minimize risks by assisting in the creation of a 'digital twin' for virtual trials. The intern will primarily focus on one or two of these areas, depending on project needs and interests.

A Taste of What You’ll Do:
- Identify and develop solutions that leverage the power of robotics, AI, and/or simulation or emulation environments to solve business problems and drive continuous improvement
- Collect, organize, analyze, and present data for understanding and measuring winery process performance, including both for current and future state
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments (i.e. Operations, Winemaking, Engineering, Supply Chain Planning, Quality, EHS) across all levels to accomplish internship goals including building the business justification for identified solutions
- Effectively communicate with and present to senior leadership on project status, including roadblocks, results, and/or recommendations
- Support site and departmental continuous improvement efforts as needed
What You Will Need:
- Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s, or Ph.D degree in the School of Engineering; OR have obtained a Bachelor’s or Master’s, or Ph.D degree in the School of Engineering.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Available for the entire duration of this internship program - July through December 2025
- Required to lift and move up to 40 lbs when necessary.
- Required to work at heights of 50 feet, on tops of tanks inspecting wine surfaces when necessary.
- Requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary
- Required to be 18 years or older.
How You’ll Stand Out
- Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering.
- Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and team skills and experience managing multiple assignments.
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
