Sino-US Bridge Program (SUBP) 2025: A Transformative Launchpad for Global Leadership
The Sino-US Bridge Program (SUBP) is the only known nonprofit U.S. initiative that immerses students in China’s leading universities, tech industries, and smart cities. Designed by a team of U.S. PhDs, MBAs, and global education experts, SUBP prepares ambitious American students to be globally competent, tech-savvy, and socially responsible future leaders.
This is not a 30-day sightseeing tour. It’s a rigorous, research-backed, multi-phase leadership pipeline that begins before the plane takes off and continues long after you return. The impact of SUBP 2024 has been confirmed by alumni, parents, and external experts—including through the first-ever China Knowledge Assessment Report .

✅ Why It Matters
Understanding China is no longer optional, yet outdated K-12 U.S. education on modern China and biased narratives leave students unprepared for its rapid advancements. Our first-ever quantitative study on American students’ knowledge of modern China confirmed this gap—but systemic reform won’t happen fast enough. Technology doesn’t wait.
That’s why the Sino-US Bridge Program (SUBP) was created. SUBP does not teach you everything in 30 days—but it equips you with the right foundation: exposure, skills, network, and direction to continue learning and making smart decisions together with like-minded driven peers.
🔹 PHASE 1 (May): Real-World Leadership & Marketing Simulation
Students form teams and operate with autonomy, a real budget, and outcome-driven goals based on SUBP’s “leading by doing” philosophy.
Learn growth hacking, digital marketing, A/B testing, and influencer/referral strategies. Top teams receive awards, leaders are selected, and post-trip paid roles are offered.
🔹 PHASE 2 (June): Pre-Trip Digital, Cultural & Academic Training
To ensure they arrive in China informed, confident, and ready to engage deeply, training include:
- Master essential Chinese apps for communication, payment, navigation, shopping, etc.
- Tech readiness: VPNs, Google Workspace tools, and AI tools (text, visual, video).
- Research companies/universities and prepare tailored questions.
- Cross-cultural skills: Safety, etiquette, teamwork, and logistics planning.
- Build your cross-functional, bilingual project team
🔹 PHASE 3 (July): 30-Day In-China Immersive Experience
Theme: AI, Robotics & More – How Technology Enhances Quality of Life: Rethink Rivalry vs. Collaboration for the Benefit of Humanity
Cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen
- Visits to top universities and tech firms. Past visits include Tsinghua, Peking, Fudan, SJTU, and Zhejiang University, BYD, TikTok, Tesla, Xiaomi, Meituan, etc.
- Team projects using both U.S. and China AI tools to compare real-world applications and generate collaborative media outputs.
- Tech & cultural immersion—exploring China’s smart cities, cashless economy, and social tech.
- Weekly Wrap-Up: Team presentations summarizing insights and cross-cultural comparisons.
At the end of the program, students reflect on the broader implications of U.S.-China tech competition and cooperation.
🔹 PHASE 4: Post-Trip Deliverables & Paid Fellowship
Selected students are invited into paid fellow roles to:
- Write research summaries and impact reports
- Create social media and website content
- Share and promote their journey, research summaries and impact reports
