Community Development Fellowship

The Community Development Fellowship will engage in research projects to enhance the impact of the City’s federal community planning grant portfolio through data analysis and research of best practices and innovative interventions in process and planning. The fellow will learn the ins and outs of local government development, finance and federal requirements for grants. This experience will be gained by participating in the full spectrum of the Grants Management Division’s process and functions for federal grants such as CDBG, HOME, ESG grants and state grants such as through the Illinois Housing Development Authority.

This fellowship is for approximately one year depending on funding availability.
