Position: Freshman Academy Academic Advisor

Classification: MCTEA

Posting Type: Internal/External

Location: Muskegon High School

Reports to: Building Principal

Deadline to Apply: June 11, 2025 or until filled

Position Available: 2025-2026 Academic Year

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE; OR
  • Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Multiple years (5+) of classroom experience at the secondary level.
  • Work based learning experience
  • Promote success in teaching all students from at-risk to high achieving.

Salary:

Commensurate with credentials, level of experience and in accordance with MPS salary schedule. Full-time position with benefit package. Starting salary is $51,814-$75,437.
