Your Impact & Responsibilities:

Educational Support Excellence:

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Provide tailored instructional support that meets individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation of student progress, behaviors, and learning objectives

Student Engagement & Safety:

  • Respond to emergency situations using Pro-ACT and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) methodologies
  • Supervise and support students during transitions, meals, and recreational activities
  • Facilitate engaging activities including athletics, creative projects, and educational field trips
  • Model Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral outcomes

Professional Collaboration:

  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with supervisors and team members
  • Travel to various locations within 30 miles of your assigned region
  • Work 6 hours daily, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • BA III Level: Serve as substitute teacher when needed to ensure educational continuity

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in educational, therapeutic, or behavioral support settings
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Check and TB Clearance

Location & Transportation:

  • Must reside in San Mateo or San Francisco Bay Area
  • Valid California driver's license with reliable personal transportation

Professional Skills:

  • Proficiency with standard software applications and internet navigation
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities
  • Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and professional demeanor
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pro-ACT, CPI intervention training, and/or CPR certification
  • Experience with data collection and behavioral tracking systems

Physical Requirements: This role involves active engagement in a school environment with moderate to high noise levels. Responsibilities include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and assisting students with various activities. Reasonable accommodations are available to support essential job functions.

Pay:$19.00-$24.00
