Your Impact & Responsibilities:
Educational Support Excellence:
- Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Provide tailored instructional support that meets individual student needs
- Maintain accurate daily documentation of student progress, behaviors, and learning objectives
Student Engagement & Safety:
- Respond to emergency situations using Pro-ACT and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) methodologies
- Supervise and support students during transitions, meals, and recreational activities
- Facilitate engaging activities including athletics, creative projects, and educational field trips
- Model Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behavioral outcomes
Professional Collaboration:
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with supervisors and team members
- Travel to various locations within 30 miles of your assigned region
- Work 6 hours daily, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- BA III Level: Serve as substitute teacher when needed to ensure educational continuity
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Associate's Degree required
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in educational, therapeutic, or behavioral support settings
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background Check and TB Clearance
Location & Transportation:
- Must reside in San Mateo or San Francisco Bay Area
- Valid California driver's license with reliable personal transportation
Professional Skills:
- Proficiency with standard software applications and internet navigation
- Excellent written and verbal English communication abilities
- Demonstrated reliability, adaptability, and professional demeanor
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pro-ACT, CPI intervention training, and/or CPR certification
- Experience with data collection and behavioral tracking systems
Physical Requirements: This role involves active engagement in a school environment with moderate to high noise levels. Responsibilities include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and assisting students with various activities. Reasonable accommodations are available to support essential job functions.
Pay:$19.00-$24.00
