I love the atmosphere and the co-workers. I really enjoyed working there.

I wish there was more communication between the managers. It got fustrating hearing one thing, doing that, and then being told by another to do it another way.

What I liked

We had tons of employees, so it was very easily to switch shifts or give it up if need be. Also, all of the managers and fellow employees were very nice. The company as a whole is very ethical to their employees, and we were always guaranteed 15-minute breaks on 4 hours shifts. Plus, they pay above minimum wage.

What I wish was different

Sometimes, it was difficult to work when you were working with new people every day (since we had so many employees). Also, sometimes it was hard to pick up extra shifts if you wanted them.

Definitely would recommend applying! Great discounts and great company to work for overall!

I wish that I had found this job sooner, I know that handshake posts when it was most recently added but I know a lot of postings will renew their listing but then it won’t go back to the top.

I would say to make sure that you continually update your profile and check the site daily for new postings.

If your major is retail I would highly consider working here because you learn so much from them. They are so also a corporate company and you can always move up and move to different locations!

I have worked within Gap Inc for four years now and I have loved it. I love the people I work with and my managers. We can make our shifts and fun which makes me like going to work. I love the product we use and I like being able to tell others about it and make them feel confident in their looks.

What I wish was different

I wish I was getting paid a little more because I have been there for so many years. I would make the long hours a little more worth it.

Advice

I advise to be able to work under stress and in a place with anxiety in a way because retail is not for everyone.

I loved the work atmosphere. All the women that worked there were upbeat and encouraging. I also enjoyed the learning atmosphere they created. At the end of each shift, I would sit down with my manager and go over what went well, what I needed to work on, and how I would do better. I also truly believed in the products that we sold and that made the job a lot easier and more authentic.

Better hours, better communication, managers played favorites when it came to situations. Wish they would have given loyal employees more summer hours instead of hiring cheap 12 week workers.
